G.R.E.W. Counseling Services
What
we do...
In a confidential setting, individuals are able to discuss their innermost conflicts, concerns, and feelings. Counseling creates opportunities for increased insight, problem solving, and new coping skills. Sometimes you may feel the pain of panic attacks, personal crisis, marital conflict, parent-child conflict, alcohol/substance abuse, sexual dysfunction, domestic violence, mental illness, vocational indecision, and unemployment. This pain often leaves you feeling anxious, depressed, confused, overwhelmed, empty, and spiritually bankrupt. We can help.
You Deserve a Safe Space
G.R.E.W. Services is a non-discriminatory facility and offer those from all walks of life a safe space to share their stories, their fears, and their feelings. Our clinicians are not here to cast judgement on those seeking help. They are here to put their client's mental health above all else and offer them the comfort they need to begin the process towards healing.
Individual Counseling
Everyone can benefit from attending individual counseling. Sometimes issues must be discussed personally to achieve true inner peace.
Adolescent Counseling
We offer services for children aged 6-17 to help them navigate difficult situations and trauma at such a challenging and influential age.
Family Counseling
Parents and children can sometimes have complicated relationships. We can help navigate, heal, and connect families with one another.
Couples Counseling
Love is a two way street. We can help couples navigate troubles in their relationships and reach understandings with each other.
Our Counseling Approach
Our clinicians are here to listen. But being heard is only the first step in a long, difficult journey. Here at G.R.E.W., we will not only ensure that every client is listened to without judgement or discrimination, but will help them to understand why they feel the way they do and offer practical solutions and coping mechanisims to begin the journey of bettering their mental health and quality of life by way of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In-Person and Telehealth
We offer both in-person and telehealth options to our clientele. While in-person appointments would be limited to those in the area who are able to make the commute, our remote telehealth services are offered to any Texas residents from anywhere in the state they may be located.
Spiritual Counseling
Should a client seek it, our clinicians are all practicing Christians and are trained in the way of Spiritual counseling. With this, clients can gain an understanding of themselves through the way of God, and utilize tools of the faith to begin the healing process. These tools can range from confession and forgiveness, prayer, biblical meditation and more.
Cognitive Behavorial Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a fairly common theraputal practice. It is a form of therapy wherein the client and therapist explore and understand the client's emotional states and behaviors and discover ways to adjust them to be less self-destructive. This way, the client feels more actively involved in their own recovery whilst not feeling alone in doing so.
Meet Our Counselors
While our staff members are committed Christians with their own faith statements and understandings, their purpose is not to preach to clients. They are clinically trained and experienced professionals who utilize the tools of the psychotherapeutic fields to help clients achieve optimal mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. This can be through the use of general Cognitive Behavioral Theraputic tools such as cognitive restructuring, guided discovery, stress reduction techniques, and more, or, upon request and comfort of such options, tools of the faith such as confession and forgiveness, prayer, and Biblical meditation.
Frequently Asked Questions
"Can your clinicians prescribe medication?"
No. Our clinicians are not qualified to necessarily prescribe medication to our clients directly. However, if our clinicians believe a client may benefit from medication after enough evaluation, they may refer the client to a psychiatrist in their area that they may set up an appointment with.

"Your business sounds very Christian-oriented. What if I am not Christian or not religious?"
While our counselors are practicing Christians and have spiritual therapy training, they understand that such things are not for everyone. They want to prioritize your mental health above all else. Those who are not Christian or not religious at all will not be turned away, nor will our counselors force the religion onto you. Spiritual counseling is only done at the request of the client.

"How often would my appointments need to reoccur? Would they need to reoccur at all?"
Our clinicians will work with you personally to schedule out how often your appointments will reoccur. This can range from weekly appointments, all the way to monthly appointments. It is decided depending on what the clinician reccomends, along with what the client is comfortable with and can afford.

"I often struggle with finances. Can I still recieve help?"
We do not believe that financial struggle should stand in the way of your journey to health and wellness. With this in mind, we try to make our services as affordable as possible by accepting insurance, as well as offering discounted services with one of our clinicians. When scheduling with us, you will always be notified of the cost of services before the appointment is made official so you can ensure it is within budget before proceeding.

"What if the clinician I schedule with turns out to not be the right fit for me?"
This is perfectly understandable and happens more often than one may think. If you should meet with one of our clinicians and decide you would not like to continue seeing them, we can gladly set you up with another one of our clinicians to see if they are a better fit for you.
